Every year, I vow to draw a Christmas card for family and friends. Sometimes, albeit rarely, I actually follow through with my threat.
2020 was one such year, and as usual I spent several weeks procrastinating and coming up with an overly elaborate concept, only to (digitally) hammer together a hack job at the eleventh hour. Here’s one I made earlier, featuring our rescued mutt babies Dobby and Heidi. No rat cameos this year, I’m afraid.
For Emily, I visited my favourite local coffee place, Anke’s, for some homemade quince jam and a wonderful Christmas card by the far more talented local illustrator Julia Kay.
