Shrek #1 out of print and Penguins of Madagascar not far behind
Press Release: Ape Entertainment is proud to announce that Shrek #1 has sold out of its first printing and that Penguins of Madagascar #1 is following the same pattern of success. Both titles were released through Ape’s all-ages imprint, KiZoic, and are based on the extremely popular DreamWorks Animation franchises.
“The reaction to our all-ages line has been amazing,” says founder and co-publisher David Hedgecock. “Bringing the DreamWorks Animation license to the company has not only helped to introduce us to new fans, both young and old, but it has also opened the door to mainstream interest in our creator-owned and in-house properties like Scratch9. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”
Ape Entertainment also holds the comic book licenses for DreamWorks Animation properties Megamind and Kung Fu Panda.
